As such when I am put on hold, I feel inconvenienced. by the time I have been on hold for five minutes I am getting annoyed. I am sure I am not alone in this. If, in addition to keeping me waiting, the organization I am calling makes me listen to advertising for their products and services, I get really pissed off. What is more, again, I am sure I am not alone in this. What they are saying, in effect is – not only are we going to keep you waiting but we are also going to sell you shit whilst we do it.
